Interface
TODO (Jack): full screenshot of the interface with the regions labelled.
Header
TODO (Jack): version and show name.
Tool Bar
TODO (Jack): File, Edit, View and Help menus, and the icons on the right (LINK Mode, Output Config, Settings), as in the AAVJ docs.
Workspaces
DISPATCH has two workspaces, Cues and Timeline.
TODO (Jack): how to switch, and what stays the same between them.
The Scene Grid
The main area is a grid of tiles. Each tile is a scene.
TODO (Jack): screenshot of a page with grouped and ungrouped tiles.
Pages
TODO (Jack): adding, renaming, reordering and removing pages (removing asks whether to keep the cues). Each page is 72 × 40 cells, with an 8 × 8 home block in the middle where new scenes start.
Navigating the Grid
TODO (Jack): zoom, pan, jumping back to the home block.
Tiles
- Left-click a tile to Go.
- Right-click a tile to select it and show its parameters.
TODO (Jack): moving tiles, renaming, moving to another page, removing.
Grouped and Ungrouped Tiles
- Grouped tiles work like radio buttons: one scene per group is live, and pressing another tile in the group transitions to it.
- Ungrouped tiles are toggles: on means the scene runs. Use these for scenes that output by themselves or send messages.
TODO (Jack): how the group colour shows on a tile, and how to assign a group.
Sections
TODO (Jack): named sections on a page, for laying out and labelling areas of tiles.
Macros
TODO (Jack): the Macros grid. Buttons and quads fire scenes like tiles; faders, knobs and rockers drive scene parameters; labels name an area. Binding a control to a scene or parameter.
Side Panels
Assets
TODO (Jack): browsing scenes and media, dragging them onto the grid to add a scene.
Parameters
The Parameters panel shows the custom parameters on the selected scene. Only parameters on the scene itself appear, not every operator inside it.
TODO (Jack): editing, expression mode, how to make a parameter show up here (see Building Scenes).
Outputs
TODO (Jack): link to Scenes & Outputs.
Log
TODO (Jack): the error log in the footer.
